It was good to get a chance to say hey to just-married Jenny Guard on Saturday as she dropped in to catch sister Elle’s soccer game at the high school. She met Cody Anderson at school at Calvary Chapel Bible College and were married at the first of the summer.
Wolverines come close, lose to LC 5-4

Usually a 4-1 halftime score means the match is pretty well settled, but FHHS turned it on in their soccer game Saturday afternoon, scoring three in the second half to nearly catch a talented Lynden Christian team before running out of time, 5-4. Home Trust dedicates Sun Rise development on Buck Property

It faces east, so they’re calling the development Sun Rise. And it rose this weekend. Town, County & State leaders joined the Home Trust as Mayor David Jones cut the ribbon on the Buck Property just above the gravel pit. The San Juan Island Chamber of Commerce held an meeting on Friday last week at the San Juan Vineyards that served as a goodbye party for longtime director Debbie Pigman.
