Due to current fuel conditions and the long range weather forecast, San Juan County has reduced the fire risk status to “LOW.” However, burn permits will not be issued until October 3rd and only recreational fires are permitted at this time.

Members of Friday Harbor Grange #225 donated the proceeds of their Hawaii Vacation raffle to the Animal Protection Society building fund. Minnie Knych president of Friday Harbor Grange presented a check for $725 to Leslie Byron director of the Animal Protection Society. Norma Mason was the winner of the raffle.

Opalco Doubles Down On Low-Income Bill Credits
