Traffic Disrupted on “Granny’s Way” (East Street Next to Ferry Lanes) Thursday Aug 27

Traffic will be disrupted while Contractors replace asphalt on “Granny’s Way” (East Street, next to the ferry lanes) this Thursday, August 27th. The Contractor is being asked to expedite the project with as little traffic disruption as possible. Granny’s Way will be closed to traffic until repairs are complete. First Street will remain open. Several fare changes will go into effect beginning Friday, May 1. The annual peak season surcharge for single vehicle fares is scheduled to begin. Peak season runs from May 1 through September 30. Washington State Ferries is extending the winter sailing schedule through June 20 because of a continued decline in ridership due to COVID-19. It was previously scheduled to end on April 25.
