The Nash Street Realignment has begun. The bump out feature is gone and changes are being made. While construction is going on access from Argyle Avenue to Nash Street and Market Street will be limited. Apparently no bomb was found – they’re loading for Anacortes. Here’s the official word from WSF: M/V Elwha has been cleared to sail and normal operations will resume as soon as possible. Supplemental sailings will be added to help accommodate passengers going to Friday Harbor and returning to Anacortes.

Bomb Squad Arrives

By now you probably know there was a bomb threat this afternoon aboard the Elwha. All ferry service to and from Friday Harbor has been suspended until the ferry can be cleared. Round Towner gets a New Ride

On Tuesday, May 7th,  Round Towner celebrated the recent donation by the San Juan Lions Foundation of the “new” 2014 Nissan Leaf to replace their worn-out Honda.  The non-profit community service RoundTowner has just surpassed 18,000 essential rides to needy and disabled elderly folks in Friday Harbor over the past five and one-half years.  See  Continue Reading
